Training

Opportunities for competitive athletics begins at 7 years. For this reason, targeted training with coaches will be available to senior athletes that are registered at our club to participate in outside competitions.

Club nights provide a friendly environment to participate in the sport locally usually with school and neighbourhood friends, but those that want to gauge their abilities beyond Avondale, it will require targeted assistance. This is where competition training nights will help develop your child into a competitive junior athlete.

We anticipate for the coming season that we will have a Run Coach, a Throw Coach and a Jump Coach. The days and times for these training sessions will occur outside of the Club Night, but are yet to be confirmed. We anticipate Monday evenings, and Friday evenings.

If you are interested in bringing your child along to these, please check in with the Secretary.
